I have made this video f the installation being interactive with. I would have loved to have displayed this on a project and had it going on for a whole day, for many people to interact with it, I was just unable to found a suitable place, with the little time I had 😦
This video is just to give an idea of what the piece is:
I have decided on the name of my piece and it is………. loMOTION!!!!!
A couple of weeks ago, I had completed the prototype of my 4D project ( I was using lomography photographs off the Internet at the time – find below in earlier blog). But today, I was able to add my 7 photographs of my own 🙂
I am really pleased with the result and I feel the TweenMax.as really has made my piece work smoothly and made the photos blur into each other in a very lomography effect way.
Here is a link to the final swf. *You will need a webcam for it to run*
Here are the 7 photographs, that were taken every hour, plus a few others, (as I just wanted to practice lomoing photos up). I have edited them in Photoshop, to give them the Lomography effect, as sadly I was unable to receive a film for the Holga 120GN Camera in time. I am still pleased with the results:
My next task is to add them to the my complete web cam model in flash and code in the TweenMax.as file 🙂
I went to the Jazz and Blues Festival on the Barbican in Plymouth yesterday and I took a few snaps. I made sure I took at photograph, a hour from the first one, till I have my 7 photographs. Then I started to just over photographs, that I thought I would place on my blog, as I feel they are quiet nice snaps.
I am really into my analogue art and photography at the moment, i found it much more exciting than anything digital. As it has a raw and much more real aspect.
Here are some projects using analogue technologies or items:
Ghost in the Machine is a series of musicians portraits that have been made out of recycled cassette tape. It was inspired by the description of how your spirit lives in your body.
This is so simple but very effected:
“Webcam technology is being connected with analogue Polaroids to create live pictures (cut out to create a 3D model) – an example of a digital solutions in analogue context.”
I found this really interest site. The idea is that people send in their secret written on a postcard, image or any related object. Bringing imagery and human emotion together.

Here are some of my favorite images sent in:
for our game Cling, we used this web cam tracking tutorial, I will now take this and adapt it to how I want it to be in my project. I am thinking of having 7 target areas, with the web cam tracking, which will mean the use of 7 photographs within the piece.
I am thinking of having the 7 photographs represent 7 different hours. So when I take my photographs I will take one every hour behind the first one, and so on, and then these will get placed within the project
